Doctor Fodong Sonfack is a Lecturer, a researcher and consultant in Insurance and Business Law. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Law and Political Science of the University of Dschang in 2008, Postgraduate Diploma and a Master of Science (MSc.) of Business and Corporation Law of the same University in 2009 and 2012 respectively. In January 2019, he defended a Ph. D thesis on life insurance and was unanimously congratulated by the jury. Recruited by the University of Bamenda in December 2019 within the framework of the special recruitment of PhD holders in state universities at the rank of Assistant Lecturer, he was promoted to the rank of Lecturer in French Private Law in 2021. He was appointed Acting Head of Division of Research and Cooperation of HICM on the 30th of October 2020 and Head of Department of Insurance and security of the same School. The University of Bamenda in general and HICM specifically are honored to host the only Insurance Department of the whole country as well as state universities are concerned. Created amongst the oldest departments of the school, the department of Insurance and Security offers a BBA in Insurance after three (03) years of training and a B-Tech in Insurance after one (01) year of training. Next year, the Department will probably launch the MBA programmes in Insurance and Risk Management and in Actuarial Science.
